austin rodeo
march 2008 - My first rodeo included all: bareback riding, bull riding, steer wresting, tie-down roping, team roping, saddle bronc riding, and for the kids: sheep riding, every food item fried or on a stick including pizza and coke..., a carnival and a freak side show.

november 2007 - it's been over 3 years since I have been to vancouver. the city is busy preparing for the olympics in 2010. construction everywhere. i got my fall colours and needed to wear a winter coat and scarf. brrr... makes me appreciate the weather in texas. absolutely awesome catching up with friends who i haven't seen in many years.
eclectic september: camping, ACL and a trip to Miami
september 2007 - showing some photos again. it's been a busy September with a trip to Mineral Wells State Park for a weekend of camping with all the trimmings, a trip to South Padre Island (without the camera), a music-packed weekend at the Austin City Limits Festival - with The Killers, Damien Rice, Blue October, Augustana, Bloc Party, Wilco and plenty of others. And finally a sun-packed weekend in Miami with old friends.
graduation
may 2007 - graduation day. a day of joy and sadness somewhat. that didn't stop us goofing around, especially irina suddenly wanted to be in every photo, dj couldn't stop playing with the tossel, what is he doing?? cesar knows how to pull faces, valerie with her usual big smile, nick eating tuna even at the graduation ceremony. didn't anyone pay attention to the ceremony?
celebrating the final month of the mba program
april 2007 - the parties never stop during the final month of the mba program, dinner with the dean, wine and appetizers with the dean, sparty gras (which is just another bar crawl), spring game (where MSU finally wins a game, oh hang on... it's a green v. white game...), community honors (where mbas finally dress up), the nearly may party (where everyone gets sentimental). This is it!

february 2007 - niagara falls in the winter, a brand new experience. in case you wonder, it's cold!!! on the bright side, not many tourists and you get the first row view all the time... amazing also in the winter!

may 2006 - travel diary: The moment I step out of the internet café is the moment I step onto a cockroach. My first one - that is - after 3 days. The first time I inhaled the Bangkok air I nearly choked. It was hot. It was humid and it stunk! One gets used to a lot and today I don’t smell it anymore.
